Being Thankful

As I dropped off my daughter this morning in our small town Conway Springs the town was busy. I saw parents of graduates washing cars, picking up balloons for their parties, mowing, decorating. I was reminded of how much these parents are doing to make their child’s day a success and fun. I was reminded of how lucky these children are to have parents who care for them and are so proud of them! Tomorrow will seem like a blurr of photos being taken, smiles and hugs from family and friends, cake and celebrating. But I hope that when it is all over the class of 2013 will take a moment to realize how many blessings they really have. Appreciate their parents and teachers for all they do for them and the amazing gift they have received of an education in the United States of America! I think it is kind of fitting that Mothers Day be this weekend so that the graduates can  honor their father and mother by thanking them and telling them just how important they really are to their lives.
